Abstract

[Objective] To observe the therapeutic effect of integrated TCM with Western medicine in treating the depression. [Methods] Seventy-two patients diagnosed with CCMD-3 diagnostic criteria were divided into treatment group and control group randomly. The patients in treatment group were treated by anti-depressive drugs and traditional Chinese medicine based on differentiation of symptoms and signs. The psychological treatment was used at the same time. The patients in control group were treated by anti-depressive medicine only. The difference in the treatment group and control group was observed by HAMD and SDS. The integrated therapeutic effect of two groups was evaluated. [Results] The therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of control group in the 6th weekend and the 8th weekend by Hamilton. The therapeutic effect of the research group was appeared earlier than that of the compare group. The effect of treatment group was better than that of control group in the 8th weekend by SDS. [Conclusion] Combination of TCM with Western medicine treatment can treat the depression effectively. |
