|
[Objective] To observe the clinical effect of Yishen Tonglin decoction on treating benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH). [Methods] One hundred and twenty patients with BPH were randomly divided into treatment group and control group:60 patients of treatment group were treated by oral administration of Yishen Tonglin decoction and Pervasive Thailand;the patients of control group were treated by Pervasive Thailand. The changes of uresis symptom score, quality of life index, prostate volume, maximum flow rate and residual urine volume before and after treatment of two group patients were observed. [Results] The total effective rate and reducing the prostate volume had no statistical significant difference(P>0.05).However,in treated patients the reducing of urinary symptom score, the improving of the quality of life index, increasing the maximum urinary flow rate and the reduction of residual urine volume and so on were significantly better than that of control group(P<0.05). [Conclusion] There was an obvious curative effect of combined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia. |
