Abstract
|
[Objective] To assess the therapeutic effects of Huge Needling on Yang meridians for treating spasm of upper limbs after ischemic stroke. [Methods] All 60 post-stroke patients with spastic paralysis were randomly divided into two groups,the observation group(30 cases) and the control group(30 cases).Both groups received the same basic treatment.The patients of control group taken the routine acupuncture therapy,and the patients of treatment group the Huge Needling on Yang meridians besides the basic treatment.Observing the improved Asthworth Spastic Scores(Ashworth) and Barthel Index about activity of daily life,the functional rehabilitation assessment of upper limbs spasticity could be evaluated on admission and after the second course of treatment. [Results] In the observation group,both muscular tension and the activity of daily life were obviously improved compared with the control group. [Conclusion] This observation showed that Huge Needling on Yang meridians had obvious action in relieving upper limbs spasticity after ischemic stroke.It was superior to the control group in therapeutic effects. |
