Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the effect of going against acupuncture and moxibustion at Guan-Yuan(CV4) point on body weight growth rate and leptin level in hypothalamus and ovary of natural climacteric rats. The preventive effect of going against acupuncture and moxibustion on dysfunction at early climacteric period was discussed.[Methods] Climacteric female rats were screened by vaginal smear.Climacteric rats models were established by natural aging.Going against acupuncture and moxibustion was used as the treatments.Leptin level was measured by IRMA.The change pattern of the body weight growth rate and leptin level in hypothalamus and ovary and the effect of going against acupuncture and moxibustion were observed.[Results] The body weight showed a positive growth rate. The leptin level in hypothalamus and ovary was increased(P<0.01).Going against acupuncture and moxibustion could lower the body weight growth rate(P<0.01,P<0.05) and the leptin level.[Conclusions] Going against acupuncture and moxibustion can relieve the abnormal accumulation of body fat and the hypofunction of ovary by improving the leptin resistance. |
