| [Objective] To evaluate the intervention effect of Tiaoshen Tongluo(Regulating mind and Dredging collateral) acupuncture therapy on Carotid Atherosclerosis by observing the structure of carotid artery and the function-ultrasound examination.[Methods] The patients with hypoechoic carotid plaques of acute ischemic stroke were divided into Tiaoshen Tongluo acupuncture group and control group.They were all treated for 28 days.Taking sclerosis and related indicators before and after treatment as the subjective index the sta-tistical analysis was performed.[Results] Tiaoshen Tongluo acupuncture group could significantly improve the signs and symptoms of patients with cerebral infarction.It could also promote the restoration of neurological deficits,especially for the improvement of LDL,HDL,and TC(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Tiaoshen Tongluo acupuncture could not improve the indicators of carotid atherosclerosis when used only for a short-term(P>0.05).[Conclusion] Tiaoshen Tongluo acupuncture therapy can not create a significant improvement on carotid atherosclerosis in a short intervention period. |
