Abstract
[Objective] To investigate the effect of Breviscapin, sodium ferulate combined with benazepril on urinary protein and renal function in patients with early diabetic nephropathy.[Methods] 86 patients with early diabetic nephropathy were randomly divided into two groups. The control group(A) was treated with benazepril alone;the treatment group(B) was treated with breviscapine, sodium ferulate in combination with benazepril and the therapeutic course of 4 weeks in both groups. Before and after treatment,24h urinary protein, urinary albumin excretion rate(UAER),blood β2-MG,urea nitrogen(BUN),serum creatinine(SCr),fasting blood glucose(FPG) and total cholesterol(TC) were monitored.[Results] After treatment,24h urinary protein,UAER,blood β2-MG of two groups declined compared with pre-therapy;group B was declined more obviously and the difference between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).After treatment,SCr,TC of treatment group decreased compared with that before treatment(P<0.05).In the control group no significant change was found and the difference between two groups was significant(P<0.05).[Conclusion] In patients with early diabetic nephropathy, breviscapine, sodium ferulate combined with benazepril can significantly reduce urinary protein and improve renal function. It has significant protective effects for kidney, can delay the development and progression of diabetic nephropathy.
