Abstract
    "Shu"(pivot) in the Chinese literature was first appeared in Kaiheshu(open-close the pivot) theory of The Yellow Emperor’s Internal Classic,describing with Hand-Foot-Shaoyang,Shaoyin four meridians.Continent improvement was performed by the later doctors on this base and described as "acting as pivot".WANG Meng-ying was a famous Febrile Diseases scholar in the late Qing.Dr.WANG may flexibility use the thought of "acting as pivot",treat disease by smoothing the meridians.In this article we described the thought of "acting as pivot" of Dr.Wang through analyzing his medical case record.
