| Abstract

| [Objective] To study the mechanism of apoptosis of human umbilical vein endothelial cell(HUVEC) induced by AGEs and ox-LDL.[Methods] HUVECs were incubated at some concentration of AGEs and ox-LDL for 24 h.The apoptosis was observed by Hochest 33258 staining.The mitochondria membrane potential(MMP) was analyzed by flowcytometry after Rhodamine-123.[Results] AGEs and ox-LDL could increase apoptosis significantly and decrease mitochondria membrane potential of the cultured HUVECs significantly also(P<0.05).[Conclusion] The results indicated that AGEs and ox-LDL could promote endothelial cell apoptosis,the mechanism in which may be related to decreasing of mitochondria membrane potential. |
