| [Objective] To investigate the effects of XiaoYiTang(XYT)combined with low dose of danazol in treating adenomyosis.[Methods] Eighty patients with adenomyosis who had moderate or severe chronic pain were randomly divided into three groups.The patients of the first group was treated with the minimal dose of danazol and XiaoYiTang(XYT)(Com group),those of the second group was treated with the conventional dose of danazol(WM group) and those of the third group was treated with non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs(control group).[Results] Effective rate on the pain symptoms was 83.3% and 80.0%(P>0.05),rate of reduction of the uterine volume was11.24% and 12.94%(P>0.05) in Com group and WM group respectively.But effective rate of control group was 35.0%,the uterine volume was increase 3.91% with significant difference compared with Com group and WM group.[Conclusions] XiaoYiTang(XYT) with the minimal dose of danazol is a safe and effective method for treating adenomyosis,having liter side effects compared with the conventional dose of danazol. |
