Abstract
    Cough after common cold is one of the most common respiratory tract diseases.According to the onset time,long or short,cough after common cold can be divided into three stages: early,middle and late phase.In the early stage the disease is treated with San ao decoction as the representative modified elastically depending on the characteristics of cold or heat.When cough after cold has developed into middle phase,in which the evil Qi is declined and the normal healthy Qi is not so obvious,the cough can be treated by the herbs such as "herba schizonepetae","radix saposhnikoviae" and Xuanfei decoction and the self-prescribed Xuanfei decoction can be used.At the end phase,the residue of the evil is remained and the healthy Qi is being to be deficiency so that the main managements and ways to treatment should be regulating those abnormal statuses of the body.The self-prescribed Tiaofei decoction is suitable for this phase in order to get ideal clinic effects.
