Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the effects of the Bushen Tiaochong decoction on the levels of serum sex hormone and the expression levels of estrogen receptors α,β (ERα,ERβ) mRNA in the hypothalamus in ovariectomized rats.[Methods] Sham operation group was considered as control, castrated rats were divided into four groups: ovariectomized blank group,Bushen Tiaochong decoction high dose group, moderate dose, low dose group,Diethylstilbestrol group. The levels of serum E2,FSH,LH were determraed by radioimmunoassay method, and the RT-PCR method was used to detect the expression levels of ERα,ERβ mRNA in the hypothalamus.[Results] The levels of serum FSH,LH in ovariectomized rats was higher as well as the levels of estrogenic and ERα,ERβ mRNA in the hypothalamus was lower.Bushen Tiaochong decoction group on the levels of serum estrogenic in ovariectomized rats has a rising trend and the levels of FSH has a declining trend.Bushen Tiaochong decoction reduced the levels of serum LH and increased the expression levels of α,βmRNA in the hypothalamus.[Conclusion] Bushen Tiaochong decoction improve the levels of sex hormones in ovariectomized rats and through increasing the expression levels of ERα,ERβ mRNA to improve ER biological effects and reduce the occurrence of menopausal syndrome. |
