| [Objective] To observe the efficacy and safety of Compound Danshen dripping pills in treating mild to moderate Alzheimer disease(AD).[Methods] Seventy patients with mild to moderate AD with 10-24 scores of MMSE were divided randomly into treatment group(35 cases) and control group(35 cases).The patients of the treatment group were treated with Compound Danshen dripping pills for 16 weeks and that of the control with piracetam for 16 weeks also.MMSE and ADL were taking to compare the clinical effect before and after the treatment of two group.[Results] MMSE and ADL scores of Compound Danshen dripping pills treatment group were(21.38±3.11) and(23.19±6.35) respectively.They were(18.45±3.22) and(28.34±5.98) in the control group respectively.The difference between the treatment and control groups was significant(P<0.01).The serious adverse reactions were not observed after treatment with the pills.[Conclusion] Compound Danshen dripping pills is more effective in treating patients with mild to moderate AD than piracetan and safer. |
