Abstract
|
"Kidney Essence Deficiency Syndrome" was an independent syndrome in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).However the expressions of this syndrome were different or even contradictory among national standard, college textbooks and classic books. This situation was severely impacted international recognition of TCM.Therefore,it was important to standardize the definition of "Kidney Essence Deficiency Syndrome".Through literature searches, data entry and extraction,we had obtained ten different terminologies which had the same pathogenesis connotation but different formulations.According to the frequency,we hypothesized preliminarily "Kidney Essence Deficiency Syndrome" as the standard formulation. Then we resurveyed this formulation based on the principle of syndrome nomenclature, and finally determined to use "Kidney Essence Deficiency Syndrome" as the unified and normative formulation of all other definitions. |
