| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To observe the therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine combined with local perfusion chemotherapy in treating patients with mid-advanced pulmonary carcinoma.[Methods] Seventy-one cases with mid-advanced pulmonary carcinoma were divided into two groups: 1) control group, the treatment was performed by local perfusion chemotherapy only by a catheter inserted selectively into the arteries supplying tumors.2) treatment group, the treatment was performed with local perfusion chemotherapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine.[Results] In the control group the number of local perfusion chemotherapy performed was 109 with an average time of 2.9 per patient and the effective rate was 43.24%.In the treatment group the number of local perfusion chemotherapy performed was 134 with an average time of 4.3 per patient and the effective rate was 73.53% with a significant difference in effective rate between these two groups(P<0.05).There was a different degree improvement of clinical symptoms of patients in two groups.[Conclusion] The method of traditional Chinese medicine combined with local perfusion chemotherapy is superior to that of local perfusion chemotherapy only in treating mid-advanced pulmonary carcinoma and thus has a wide prospect. |
