Abstract
    The author provides a new acupuncture treatment protocol for perimenopausal syndrome. The protocol functions to regulate Yin and Yang and nourish Qi and blood by focusing on the points of Ren, the Du meridians, and the points of the face on YangMing meridians as well as technically method of combination of shallow and deep puncture together and acupuncture and moxibustion together. After studying the perimenopausal condition as described by both western and Chinese medical researchers, based on the results of the case study, the author believes that the new acupuncture protocol is more effective and suggests that it is used widely on perimenopausal cases.
