Abstract
    [Objective] To study the dynamic changes of the [Ca2+]i in hippocampus neurons of rats with focal cerebral ischemia and the effect of "XNKQ" acupuncture to explore the the rapeutic action of early intervention with "XNKQ" acupuncture.[Methods] MCAO was established in rats.They were treated with "XNKQ" acupuncture method.At different time point the dynamic changes of the [Ca2+]i in hippocampus CA1 neurons were examined with confocal laser scanning microscope.[Results] Compared with the control group,the two neuron [Ca2+]i of hippocampus CA1 regions of model group began to increase after ischemia for 1h,and sustained to elevate until 24 h(P<0.05),while the sham operated group had no difference(P>0.05).At the same time point,there was no difference of [Ca2+]i between non-acupoint group and model group(P>0.05),while the "XNKQ" acupuncture group was significantly lower than that of the model group(P<0.05,P<0.01).[Conclusion] The [Ca2+]i in hippocampus CA1 neuron of rats is increased persistently during acute focal cerebralis chemia,causing the calcium overloading in cells.The study results also suggest that "XNKQ" acupuncture method can regulate the[Ca2+]i in the focal cerebral is chemia,and the earlier the better.All of these offer the evidence to use acupuncture at early time in clinic.
