| Abstract
|
| [Objective] Through studying the effect of intravenous injection of Xuebijing in perioperative period of elderly patients after abdominal surgery on TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8 to explore whether Xuebijing is beneficial for these patients or not.[Methods] The elderly patients underwent abdominal surgery under general anesthesia were divided into treatment group and control group. The 100 mL Xuebijing in 100 mL normal saline were intravenously instilled into patients in the treatment group in 30~40 minutes before anesthesia induction, lasting for 5 days after operation. The venous blood samples were collected in one day before surgery,1,3 and 7 day after operation respectively for detecting the plasma concentration of IL-6,IL-8 and TNF-α.[Results] Compared with control group, the levels of TNF-α,IL-6,and IL-8 were significantly decreased in Xuebijing group(P<0.01).[Conclusion] The perioperative Xuebijing injection has beneficial effect on the elderly patients with abdominal surgery by inhibiting the inflammatory action and reducing the severity of SIRS. |
