Abstract
[Objective] To observe the clinical effect in treating vascular dementia by acupuncture combined with medicine.[Methods] Taking Cerebroprotein hydrolysate as the control substance and using random double-blind method the clinical study was performed.Using Activities of Daily Living(ADL scale)and MMSE scale(Mini-Mental State Exam)the evaluation was finished.It was carried out before and after treatment in two groups and statistically compared.[Results] After treatment the daily life ability,the activity ability and knowing ability were all improved in patients with vascular dementia in both group with significant difference(P<0.05).[Conclusion] Acupuncture combined with medicine can obviously enhance the ability of daily life and activity and total cognitive function of patients with vascular dementia and a better clinical curative effect was obtained.
