Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the effect of Xihuang pills(medicine-contained serum) on the protein expressions of matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2) and matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9) in human colorectal carcinoma LoVo cell. [Methods] The enzyme-linked immunoassay (ELISA) was used to determine the expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in the culture solution of LoVo cell under the action of Xihuang pills. [Results] The expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in medication groups was significantly lower than those of control group (P < 0.05). [Conclusion] Xihuang pill has a potent effect of reducing the expressions of MMP-2 and MMP-9. This mechanism may play an important role in the suppression of colorectal carcinoma metastasis. |
