| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To observe the effect of external high frequency thermotherapy(EHFT) combined with Xiaoyan decoction on quality of life in patients with advanced non small cell(ANSC) lung cancer of Qi deficiency toxicity and stasis type. [Methods] Forty patients with Qi deficiency, toxicity and blood stasis type of ANSC lung cancer were randomly divided into combined treatment group (receiving EHFT combined with oral Xiaoyan decoction), TCM treatment group (received oral Xiaoyan decoction only) for 60 days. The TCM syndromes, including ECOG, EORTCQLQ-LC43 and FACT-L score before and after treatment were evaluated. [Results] After comparison analysis of two groups after treatment, TCM syndrome score of combined treatment group increased more obviously than TCM treatment group (P < 0.05), the improvement of body and affection domain in EORTCQLQ-LC43 scales of combined treatment group was also more obvious than TCM treatment group(P < 0.01), the improvement in pain was more obvious than TCM treatment group(P < 0.01). The physical status, social / family condition, function, scale total scores of FACT-L scale in combined treatment group increased significantly more than TCM treatment group (P < 0.01). [Conclusion] The external high frequency thermotherapy combined with TCM treatment can improve TCM symptoms and the existence quality in patients with advanced non small cell lung cancer of Qi deficiency toxicity and stasis type. It can improve the degree of physical, emotional and pain with obvious advantages. |
