| Abstract

| [Objective] To observe the clinical effect of Huayu Tongmai decoction on angina pectoris. [Methods] The 180 patients of coronary heart disease were recruited and divided into two groups randomly. 90 cases were in treatment group and 90 cases were in control group. The conventional therapy was given to the patients in the control group. In addition to the conventional therapy, Huayu Tongmai decoction was given to the patients in the treatment group, 1 bag for each time, nitroglycerin 1~2 tab were given when angina frequency was onset. We observed efficacy and onset of angina frequency, duration, changes, nitroglycerin consumptiond and the changes of ECG. [Results] The total effective rate of the treatment group was 65.6%; the total effective rate of the control group was 48.9%; the total effective rate between the two groups had significant difference (P<0.05). [Conclusion] The clinical effects of Huayu Tongmai decoction for CHD angina pectoris is satisfactory. |
