Determination of α-Cyperone in Xiangsha Yangwei pills by HPLC

Abstract
    [Objective] To develop an HPLC method for the determination of α-Cyperone in Xiangsha Yangwei pills. [Methods] Analyses were carried out on Agilent ZORBAX TC-C18 column(250 mm ×4.6 mm, 5μm) with methanol-water (75:25) as the mobile phase. The flow rate was 1.0 mL/min and the UV detection wavelength was set at 250 nm. [Results] The linearities of α-Cyperon were in the range of 0.005 5~0.55 μg/mL(r=0.999 9). The average recoveries of α-Cyperon were 102.36%.The RSD were 1.75% (n=6). [Conclusion] The method is simple, accurate, strongly specific and can be used for the quality control of Xiangsha Yangwei pills.
