Abstract
[Objective] To analyze the commonly used traditional Chinese prescriptions and medicine in treating hepatitis cirrhosis. [Methods] Using "cirrhosis", "traditional Chinese medicine" and "syndrome" as the key words, systemically searching all the correlated articles in Chinese literature databases for a course of 20 years, a database of hepatitis cirrhosis's, traditional Chinese prescriptions and medicine was established by SPSS18.0 and the using frequency was analyzed. [Results] There were 407 patients with hepatitis cirrhosis in the clinical reports. Among them 80 were compensated cirrhosis and 327 decompensated cirrhosis, whose complication was ascites. In these 407 treated cases, only 98 cases treated with the modified patent prescriptions and the others with the self-prescribed ones. The selected herbs involved 299 ingredients and 19 kinds. The herbs used in both phases had similar characteristics but different major point. [Conclusion] In the treatment of hepatitis cirrhosis the patent prescriptions are less used but the self-prescribed ones are widely used. Many kinds and recipes of traditional Chinese medicine are used. Because of the complex pathogenesis and syndrome differentiation and treatment, the prescriptions and traditional Chinese medicine used in two stages are different.
