Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the anti-inflammation and immunology-enhancing effect of aqueous extract of Acanthopanax senticosus (ASE). [Methods] Various inflammatory models, including the auricular edema induced by xylene in mice and the paw edema induced by albumen in rats were used to explore the effect of anti-inflammation of ASE. The carbon clearing test and the delayed hypersensitivity induced by DNFB were used to observe the immunology-enhancing effect of ASE. [Results] ASE had good preventive action against the auricular edema induced by xylene and the paw edema induced by albumen. It could also increase the phagocytic index and promote the delayed hypersensitivity induced by DNFB. [Conclusion] ASE has good acute anti-inflammatory and immunology enhancing effect. |
