Abstract
|
“Liuwei Dihuang Wan”(pill of six ingredients with Rehmanniae) selected from Key to Therapeutics of Children's Disease written by Qian Yi in the Song Dynasty. It comes from Shenqi Wan (pill for invigorating kidney Qi) of ZHANG Zhong-jing. It is a modified prescription obtained from Shenqi Wan. After modifying Shenqi Wan by Qian Yi the function of Shudihuang (Rhizoma Rehmanniae Praeparatae) was revealed, so this prescription has been called “Dihuang Wan” since then. Till now, there were many prescriptions having the same name of “Dihuang Wan”, however, there were great significant differences between them. This article has elaborated the source and the paraphrase of the prescription as well as those different prescriptions that share the same name with it. |
