| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To investigate the effect of traditional Chinese medicine Reduqing on endotoxemia of acute liver injury in rats. [Methods] Rats were divided into four groups (normal control group, acute liver injury group, treatment group, prevention plus treatment group). We prepared the model of acute liver injury in rats with D- galactosamine. The treatment group and the prevention plus treatment group were treated by Reduqing. Plasma endotoxin (ET), lipid peroxide (LPO), fibronectin (Fn) levels and liver pathology of four groups were continuously observed, and intestinal bacterial culture were detected and identified. [Results] ET in treatment group at each time point was lower than the group of acute liver injury. ET in prevention plus treatment group was lower than treatment group at the 24, 72 hours. Levels of LPO in all treatment groups were lower than the group of acute phase of liver injury. LPO in prevention plus treatment group was lower than the treatment group at 24, 36 hours; Fn in prevention plus treatment group increased earlier than in the treatment group(P<0.01); in acute liver injury group proportion of serious damage in liver cells was higher than in the treatment group and the prevention plus treatment group(P<0.05); the content of enterobacter and enterococcu in the prevention plus treatment group was less than in the treatment group, but lactobacillus and bifidobacteri were higher than treatment group (P<0.01). [Conclusion] Reduqing can significantly improve the liver injury in rats after poisoning. Therefore, “Reduqing” possesses anti-endotoxin, anti-lipid peroxidation and protective effect of liver cells, can regulate the intestinal flora and can be used as one of method in treating intestinal endotoxemia in hepatic failure. |
