| Abstract

| [Objective] To observe the clinical effect of Ruangan Huaxian pills in the treatment of hepatic fibrosis in chronic hepatitis B. [Methods] Selected 120 patients of chronic hepatitis B with hepatic fibrosis and randomly divided into two groups. The basic treatment was same. The 60 cases in the treatment group were given Ruanganhuaxian pills, while 60 cases in the control group were given Fuzheng Huayu capsule. The period of treatment were all 3 months. Clinical symptoms and physical signs were observed, liver fibroscan examination were done, and liver function and serum markers of hepatic fibrosis were tested before and after treatment. [Results] The indexes of hepatic functions and the subjective symptoms were improved in both groups(P<0.01); the indexes of serum hepatic fibrosis and liver fibroscan declined obviously in the treatment group after treatment, while there were significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05). The curative effect of the treatment group was better than in the control group. [Conclusion] Ruangan Huaxian pills can produce good curative results and can be used safely to improve subjective symptoms, liver functions, serum hepatic fibrosis and liver fibroscan indexes. |
