Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the effects of honey and propolis on wound healing of skin ulcer in rats. [Methods] Skin ulcer was induced by 2.5mol/L NaOH. The time of wound healing and histological changes were observed in the back of skin in rats. The level of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde(MDA)in serum were determined by ELISA. [Results] The time of wound healing of treatment group was shorten compared with that in the control group (P<0.01 or P<0.05); the level of SOD in treatment group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.01 or P<0.05); however, there were no significant differences of MDA among these groups (P>0.05). [Conclusion] Honey and propolis have a promoting effect on ulcer wound healing by its external application. |
