Abstract
[Objective] To explore the clinical effect of treating intractable facial paralysis in Jiaoshi scalp points of lower part in the motor area by using cluster needling of scalp point method. [Methods] The 56 cases of intractable facial paralysis patients were randomly divived into two groups. Cluster needling of scalp point method in Jiaoshi scalp points of lower part in the motor area was used in treatment group; traditional acupuncture method was used in control group. The clinical effect was observed one month later. [Results] Significant difference was found between two groups before and after treatment(P<0.05). Significant difference was also found between treatment group and control group after treatment (P<0.05). The treatment group's total efficiency rate was 96.4%. The control group's total efficiency rate was 85.7%. [Conclusions] Cluster needling of scalp point method to treat intractable facial paralysis in Jiaoshi scalp points of lower part in the motor area has exact effect which is better than traditional acupuncture method.
