Abstract
The traditional Chinese theory of Kidney Generating Marrow considers that the basic pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is brain disfunction induced by the insufficiency of kidney essence and decreasing of kidney function. Bushen medicine has been widely used to improve symptoms and delay AD progress in clinical practice. Non-invasive brain functional MRI techniques could be used to evaluate the clinical effects of Bushen method and to investigate the mechanism of Bushen method in treating AD.
