| Abstract

| [Objective] To observe the influence of Chinese herbs with effect of strengthening and invigorating genuine Qi on peripheral serum inflammatory mediators and Th1/Th2 in patients with obstructive jaundice.[Methods] The 120 post-operative patients with ob-structive jaundice were randomly divided into treatment group of 60 cases and control group of 60 cases.The control group received con-ventional treatment after surgery against obstructive jaundice;in the treatment group the Chinese herbs with effect of strengthening andi nvigorating genuine Qi were supplemented on the basis of routine treatment from the first day after surgery for continuous seven days.The peripheral serum inflammatory mediators and Th1/Th2 were observed 7 d later.[Results] Compared with that before treatment the blood levels of ET,TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-4 after treatment were significantly lower(P<0.05).The levels of IL-10,Th1/Th2 were higher than those before treatment(P<0.05).But all the parameters in herbal medicine treated group were more obvious(P<0.05).The levels of IFN-after treatment were significantly higher than those before treatment(P>0.05).[Conclusion] Chinese herbs of strengthening and invigorating genuine Qi can effectively reduce the serum concentration of ET,TNF-α,IL-6,increase levels of IL-10,adjust the ratio of Th1/Th2 and so play a protective role in liver function. |
