| Abstract
|
| [Objective] To study the effect of total anthraquinone from Zhushaqi(ZSQ) on c-myc, Bcl-2 and p53 mRNA expression in S180 tumour-bearing mice. [Methods] The S180 mice model was established. The mice were divided into 4 groups: blank control, positive control with cyclophosphamide and ZSQ in high or low dose. Ten days after continuous treatment, all the mice were sacrificed and the tumor tissue was collected. Real-time PCR was used to determine the effect of ZSQ on the expression of c-myc, Bcl-2 and p53 mRNA. [Results] ZSQ could significantly reduce the expression of c-myc, Bcl-2 and p53 mRNA expression in S180 tumor tissue. The average levels of c-myc, Bcl-2 and p53 expression in low-dose and high-dose groups of ZSQ had significantly difference to that in control group(P<0.01 or P<0.05). [Conclusion] Down-regulating the c-myc, Bcl-2 and p53 mRNA expression is probably one of the antitumor mechanisms of ZSQ. |
