The influences of Phryma Leptostachya L. var. asiatica Hara extract on apoptosis and apoptosis-related factors of human hepatocellular carcinoma SMMC-7721 cells |

Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe apoptosis of human hepatocellular carcinoma SMMC-7721 cells induced by Phryma Leptostachya L. var. asiatica Hara extract and to investigate the related molecular mechanism. [Methods] Flow cytometry was used to detect the apoptosis rate of SMMC-7721 cells induced by Phryma Leptostachya L.var. asiatica Hara extract. Immunohistochemistry technique was used to determine the expressions of caspase-9、-3、-7 and XIAP proteins of SMMC-7721 cells. [Results] The apoptotic rate of SMMC-7721 cells treated with 40.91 μg/mL Phryma Leptostachya L. var. asiatica Hara extract was(26.84±1.23)% and increased obviously than control group(P<0.05). The expressions of Caspase-9 、-3 、-7 proteins of SMMC-7721 cells treated with 40.91 μg/mL Phryma Leptostachya L. var. asiatica Hara extract decreased than control group(P<0.05). The expression of XIAP protein of SMMC-7721 cells treated with 40.91 μg/mL Phryma Leptostachya L. var. asiatica Hara extract increased than control group(P<0.05). [Conclusion] Phryma Leptostachya L. var. asiatica Hara extract could induce the apoptosis of SMMC-7721 cells by XIAP/Caspase signal pathway. |
