Abstract
|
[Objective] To study the effect of negative emotions on the fatigue in patients with liver cirrhosis of hepatitis B. [Methods] Patients with liver cirrhosis of hepatitis B were divided into negative emotions group and no negative emotions group. The fatigue characteristics of all the subjects in two groups were evaluated with the fatigue Self-assessment Scale. The mean scores of physical fatigue (PF), mental fatigue (MF), general fatigue (GF), consequence of fatigue (CF),situation of fatigue (SF),response of fatigue to sleep and rest (RFTAR) in this scale for two groups were analyzed using statistical software. [Results] Except RFTAR and SF, the mean scores of PF, MF, GF, CF in negative emotions group were higher than that in no negative emotions group with marked difference between these 2 groups(P< 0.05). [Conclusion] Negative emotions have a significant effect on the development of fatigue in patients with cirrhosis of hepatitis B. |
