Effect of Didang decoction on insulin resistance in rats with type 2 diabetic |

Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the effect and its mechanism of Didang decoction on vascular lesions in diabetic rats. [Methods] Rats with type 2 diabetic were randomly divided into model group, Didang decoction group, rosiglitazone group, and LETO control group. The rats in Didang decoction group and the rosiglitazone group were treated orally with Didang decoction and rosiglitazone respectively, and the rats in model group and blank group with equal amount of distilled water. The experimental period was 12 weeks. The area under the curve of glucose, lipids, insulin resistance index, hyperinsulinemic euglycemic clamp test of skeletal muscle and the activity of AMPK quantitative detection of all the rats were detected. [Results] Compared with the model group, the insulin resistance index of the rats in Didang decoction group and rosiglitazone group was reduced (P<0.05). Compared with the model group, the triglyceride and free fatty acid of the rats were reduced in rosiglitazone group, and the free fatty acids of the rats were lowered in Didang decoction group (P<0.05). Compared with the model group, the AMPK activity of rats was increased in rosiglitazone group (P<0.05). [Conclusion] The Didang decoction has no effect on the blood glucose and blood lipid of rate with diabetic disease, but can significantly alter the insulin resistance index and euglycemic clamp glucose infusion rate and has effect on the insulin resistance of rats with type 2 diabetic. |
