| Beeswax pill has experienced four periods of historical evolution. In its initial stage in the Jin Dynasty, beeswax pill was a mix-ture of honey and wax and was applied mainly as tackiness agent. Beeswax pill made up solely of wax came into being in the Tang Dy-nasty. Song Dynasty witnessed the maturity stage of beeswax pill when theory about beeswax reached its climax. The manufacture tech-nique of beeswax pill in the Song Dynasty has been followed by the later generations. |
