The clinical observation of acupuncture combined with herbs to treat thalamic pain after ischemic stroke |

Abstract
|
[Objective] To compare the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with herbs with west medicine carbamazepine to treat thalamic pain after ischemic stroke. [Methods] To apply the randomized controlled trial design and separate the 84 cases of patients to two groups according to the random number table. The treatment group applied the acupuncture, huatuo cervical paravertebral needling, traditional Chinese medicine, while the control group adopted to take the carbamazepine orally. The clinical therapeutic effect assessment was made after 28 days of treatment through the Visualanaloguescale. [Results] The total effect of the treatment grouop was 92.9%, while the control group was 81.0%. After the statistic treatment, the two groups exist the significant difference(P<0.05). [Conclusion] To treat the thalamic pain after ischemic stroke, the therapeutic effect of acupuncture combined with herbs is better than merely take carbamazepine, thus it is worthy of clinical promotion. |
