| Abstract

| [Objective] To observe the clinical effect of combine internal and external treatment of integration of Chinese and Western medicine to acute gouty arthritis. [Methods] Sixty-two patients of outpatients entered and diagnosed with acute gouty arthritis, randomly divided into two groups, 31 cases in each group. The control group received the Eloricoxib tablets and Chinese patent medicine of Xinhuang tablets. The treatment group received the same tablets of the control group, while external with golden paste add powder of Xinhuang tablets. Both groups treated five days for a course of treatment, to observe the clinical effect, Likert and VAS score, BUA after one course of treatment. [Results] In the control group, the total effective rate was 74.2%;in the treatment group, the total effective rate was 96.8%, significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, Likert and VAS score of treatment group was significantly lower than control group (P<0.05). In the two groups the BUA values were no significant change before and after treatment (P>0.05). [Conclusion] Combine internal and external treatment of integration of Chinese and Western medicine has obvious advantages in acute gouty arthritis, and can relieve patients' pain. |
