Abstract
    [Objective] To analyze the clinical efficacy of acupuncture treating the patients of essential hypertension with anxiety state. [Methods] The 120 patients were randomly divided into two groups. The 60 cases were in control group and 55 cases finished the test. All of them received the treatment of oral drugs. The other 60 cases were in observation group and 53 cases finished the test. All of them re-ceived the treatment of both oral drugs and acupuncture. The hours ambulatory BP monitoring, HAMA and SAS as the clinical efficacy were analysed after 60 days of therapy. [Results] Two groups of patients got effect in lowering blood pressure and anxiety. The observation group was better than that of control group(P<0.05). [Conclusion] Acupuncture can lower blood pressure and anxiety.
