Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe the effect of red fennel injection for acupoint injection on pain tolerance threshold of healthy mice, compare the therapeutic differences of efficacy between acupoint and intramuscular injection and objectively and scientifically evaluate the efficacy of acupoint injection on pain tolerance threshold. [Methods] The 125 healthy female mice were randomly divided into red fennel acupoint injection group (A group), intramuscular red fennel group (B group), acupoint injection of saline group (C group), intra-muscular saline group (D group ) and blank control group (E group), receiving a corresponding treatment measure respectively. At 11 time points (1 h to 7 days) the analgesic effect was observed after the intervention with the light and heat pain measurement instrument. [Results] 1)The overall trend of pain tolerance threshold of A and B group was more obvious at all the observation time points than the other three groups, and at the 3~120 h was significantly different when compared with C, D,E (P<0.05). At 24 h after injection group A had a upward trend, reaching the peak at the 48 h, maintaining a high level at 24~72 h continually. Then, it was decreased gradually, reaching the normal level at 144 h. In mice of group B the pain tolerance threshold was significantly higher at 24~96 h, closing the normal level at 120 h. 2)There were no statistically differences among C, D, E groups at all the observation points (P>0.05). [Conclusion] Red fennel in-jection can increase the pain tolerance thresholds of the healthy mice, with a obvious appearance at 24 to 96 hours. In the physiological condition, the acupoint injection of red fennel injection has not shown any superior effect than intramuscular injection. |
