| Abstract

| As a representative of classical prescriptions, Xiaochaihu decoction is one of the most important prescriptions originated from Treatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseases and Miscellaneous Diseases by ZHANG Zhong-jing in Han dynasty. It was used frequently by doctors of successive dynasties. This thesis explored the efficacy of the seven herbs, constituted Xiaochaihu decoction with the compari-son of the content of Treatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseases and Miscellaneous Diseases and Shen Nong's Herbal Classic. At the same time it was summarized that how ZHANG Zhong-jing added and subtracted these seven herbs in order to figure out ZHANG Zhong-jing's rule and idea of using herbs. |
