Abstract
|
[Objective] To observe effect to micro-inflammation state in experimental chronic renal failure (CRF) rats treated with TCM enema and explore it's mechanism. [Methods] The 44 SD male rats were randomly divided into normal control group, model control group, enema group and simvastatin group. All rats were 5/6 nephrectomy surgery to become CRF animal models except normal control group. After model establishment, each group began to fill the stomach or enema for 6 weeks. The blood serumcreatinine (SCr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), triglyceride (TG), C reactive protein (CRP), transforming growth factor alpha (TNF-α), and toll like receptor 4 (TLR4) were detected respectively at 1, 3, 6 weeks in each group, Animals were sacrificed at the end of the experiment to observe the morphologi-cal change of kidney and small intestine. [Results] The concentration of CRP and TNF-αwere no statistical difference between enema group and simvastatin group. It suggested that the function of TCM enema was also similar to the role of statins in improving the micro-in-flammatory state, and its mechanism may be related to blocking the expression of TLR4. Pathological results showed that enema group has a certain improving effect on renal interstitial fibrosis. [Conclusion] TCM enema can improve the CRF rat survival state, delay the progress of the disease, and have certain positive effect on renal interstitial fibrosis. The mechanism of action of TCM enema may relate to reducing inflammation factor expression, improve micro-inflammation state function. The function of TCMenema is similar to simvastatin. |
