Abstract
Chief physician of BAO Yan-zhong thinks that prostate belongs to the extraordinary organs. Its physiological characteristic is "storing with discharging" and its pathological characteristic is "metrostaxis with blocking". Attention must be paid to the digital examination of rectum and prostate in differentiated treatment. It has enriched the contents of four diagnostic methods of traditional Chinese medicine. The treatment has kept the principle of differentiated therapy but also paid attention to the treatment from blood stasis theory according to the characteristic of "the six fu-viscera function will be well when unobstructed". The features in prescription-making are taking removing dampness by diuresis and resolving phlegm and eliminating blood stasis as treating superficiality and taking permanent cure of soothing liver strengthening spleen and tonifying kidney as treating the origin.
