Abstract
Professor ZHOU Yi-xuan is one of national famous veteran teran doctors of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), and he has accumulated rich experience in prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease with integrated TCM-WM therapy. He presumed that the symptoms of patients after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)could be attributed to “chest stuffiness and pains” in TCM,and cardiacqi-deficiency, obstruction of phlegm and stasis, jerky collateral syndrome are the main reasons. He maintained that we should consider the treatment on the whole base, using therapy with disease and syndrome, combination of dredging collaterals and invigorating vital energy, mainly strengthen the body resistance, supplemented by eliminating pathogenic factors. Especially, he invented Buxin Tongluo decoction which has obtained good curative effects in treating patients after PCI.
