Abstract
    Professor CHEN Bao-gui in treating diarrhea has rich experiences. He often combines with wind herbs based on the usual prescription. The most wind herbs have pungent in nature. They can move and spread. It can also elevate spleen Yang, expel wind and eliminate dampness, disperse stagnated liver Qi for relieving Qi stagnation and disperse stagnated fire. The commonly used wind medicine were Kudzuvine Root, Bupleurum RootLargetrifoliolious Bugbane Rhizome, Saposhnikovia Root, Dahurian Angelica Root, Wrinkled Ginathyssop Herb, etc.
