Abstract
|
A great progress on the study of the mechanism of acupuncture has been made with the help of massive omics technology. How-ever, there is little further study on the compatibility regularity and overall effect of acupoints, and a new breakthrough can be sought in methodology. Network, a new research tool emphasizing "connection, entity, system", has been widely used all over the advanced study; especially the network pharmacology has largely promoted the study of traditional Chinese herbs and formulas. Therefore, learning from network pharmacology on the traditional Chinese herbs, we tried to combine acupuncture with network biology to propose "network acupuncture", in order to lay foundation of further study on acupuncture in the new period. |
