Abstract
    [Objective] To understand the current domestic situation of the unhealthy accident in massage, promote the standardization of massage and so improving the security of massage therapy. [Methods] Using a retrospective journal researching serial methods, all the case report literature about unhealthy accidents in massage among Chinese Journal Full-test Databaseon CNKI, CQVIP Chinese Science & Technology journal full-text Database, Wangfang Database and Chinese biomedical literature database were retrieved and a statistic analysis was performed about the used methods, the types of accidental situation, the primary disease, the cause of the accident and the number of the cases. [Results] The 202 effective literature, including 709 cases altogether were retrieved. The analyzed results indicated that the unhealthy accidents in massage were mainly bone fracture and dislocation, nerve damage (sympathetic nerve excitement disorder), dizziness, paraplegia, herniation of intervertebral disk and so on. A low degree of standard was existed in pulling manipulation, pressing maneuver, traction and passive inflection and protraction of extremities and they were easy to induce some unhealthy accidents. [Conclusion] The improving of the security of some massages are still needed. The standardization of massage methods is an important way to promote its security, in which the relevant work needs to be done in full operation soon.
