Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the effects of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) in the treatment of elderly patients with hypertension in community, and provide a basis for the promotion of TCM into the community. [Methods] The 106 cases of community elderly hypertensive patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group, 53 cases in each group, the control group were given Western medicine antihypertensive therapy. The observation group received TCM treatment on the basis of the control group. And in 3, 6, 12 months after treatment for statistical analysis of the patient's blood pressure control rate, clinical symptoms and quality of life. [Results] The 3 months after treatment, two groups of patients with blood pressure control rates, clinical symptoms effectively, and the quality of life, the difference was no statistical significance (P>0.05). Treatment for 6 months, two groups of patients with blood pressure control rates, there was no statistically significant difference (P>0.05), but the observation group patients of clinical symptoms and quality of life were obviously better than that control group (P<0.05). The 12 months after treatment, the observation group of patients with blood pressure control rates, clinical symptoms effectively, and the improvement of the quality of life were significantly better than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). [Conclusion] The TCM treatment of community elderly hypertension, can lasting step-down blood pressure, forward to improve the patient's clinical symptoms and quality of life, and it is worthy of popularization and application in community. |
