Shenqu is a traditional compound medicine manufactured by fermentation, which is made of flour and/or bran, Armeniacae Semen Amarum, Vignae Semen, Artemisiae Annuae Herba, Xanthii Fructus and Marshpeper Smartweed Herb. It is warm in property, acrid-sweet in taste and distributed to spleen, stomach, colon. Shenqu has the function of invigorating spleen forpromoting digestion and regulating Qi-flowing for eliminating dampness. As a traditionalfermented medicine, the fermentation processdirectly affects the quality. The review systematically focuses on the fermentation technology and quality standard of Shenqu. |
