Clinical effect of adjuvant treatment of the postoperative infection of the expander implantation with dandelion |

Abstract
|
[Objective] To investigate the clinical effect of the postoperative mild infection of the expander implantation with the mixture of Dandelion and 75% alcohol. [Methods] Retrospective study with the cases between June 2009 to July 2014 which had postoperative mild infection, totally 58 cases were divided randomly into the control group (A group) with 28 cases and the treatment group (B group) with 28 cases. Both groups were treated with 1 g of antibiotic Cefmenoxime injection and NS 250 ml through intravenous drip twice a day. The expansion flap of control group were wet compressed with 75% alcohol gauze twice a day, the expansion flap of the treatment group were wet compressed with the mixture of Dandelion and 75% alcohol twice a day. [Results] The symptom scores, VAS scores, skin temperature and WBC count after treatment in the two groups improved compared with before treatment, it had statistical difference(P<0.05). The effect of the treatment group was better than that in the control group (P<0.05). The curative ratio of the treatment group was 92.9%, the effective ratio was 100%; the curative ratio of the control group was 71.4%; the effective ratio was 82.1%. The cure rate and the effective rate of the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05). [Conclusion] External application of mixture of Dandelion and 75% alcohol can observably improve the therapeutic effect of the postoperative mild infection of the expander implantation. |
